Where once the soaring Dominion Coal silos stored dirty, carbon-intensive energy, now electric vehicles store clean, nearly carbon-free electricity in the underground parking of a midtown Toronto condo building.
It’s a before-and-after that encapsulates the clean energy revolution, where gasoline-powered cars of yesterday are making way for EVs, a key tool in the fight against climate change.
But getting EV chargers into condo buildings can be a challenge, due not only to the cost of the electrical infrastructure, but also because not that many people have EVs yet.
